Schiphol is our quickest destination outside Amsterdam after Haarlem: twenty minutes down the A4. That makes short notice more realistic here than almost anywhere else we cover.
What we do and don't do here
We come to a hotel room you have booked. What we don't do: meet you at the gate, walk through the terminal with you, or meet anywhere past security. That isn't possible and we don't offer it, however often we're asked.
Say exactly where you are, too. For many people Schiphol is a catch-all: it might be a hotel on airport grounds, something along the A4, or an address in Badhoevedorp or Hoofddorp. That changes the travel time, and therefore what we can promise you.
Flights run late
We know. Call as soon as you know you'll be later and we'll shift things if we can, which usually works. What doesn't work is cancelling once she's already at your hotel — by then the journey has been made.
Landing at night is no obstacle. We're reachable around the clock, and around the airport that's simply the normal rhythm.
Hotels around the airport
The hotels at and around Schiphol are used to guests arriving at odd hours, and most make no difficulty about visitors. Name yours when you book and we'll know whether she checks in at the desk or can go straight up.
Rate
Outside Amsterdam a two-hour minimum normally applies (€360), cash on arrival and without a travel surcharge. Because the drive here is short, we're more flexible than for places further out; ask when you call.
